News :: Monsterus West

In early September Ronzilla boarded a plane to Hollywood for several meetings (some planned and some not). Within the first hour of arriving Zilla met up with friend and fellow drummer/artist Rikki Rockett (Poison) down on the Sunset Strip (who was in town filming a VH-1 special at the Roxy.) “It was cool...because I had just caught the Poison show on my last night at Sturgis a few weeks earlier” Zilla says, “We swapped a few stories...talked about Zealot...and we even did our humanitarian duty for the day by recovering a hub cap that came rolling off a car that passed by.” Later on Zilla would find himself on the roof of the new Kodak Theater with Paula Abdul at the American Idol finale party...don’t even ask! From there Ronzilla had a meeting a few days later at West Coast Choppers in Long Beach with friend, Monster Garage host (Discovery Channel), and custom chopper builder to the stars...Jesse James. Zilla is working with Jesse and Dayton Wire Wheels on the design and development of a custom motorcycle wheel line...should be pretty cool! The trip ended with Zilla attending the ASR “skateboard” tradeshow in San Diego in preparation for the debut Monsterus skateboard deck...The Zealot! While leaving the show Zilla ran into the ‘Michael Jordan of skateboarding’...legendary pioneer, Mark Gonzolas while walking down the street.
