News :: The Monsterus Rhythm Hits Vegas!

The “City That Never Sleeps” got a double dose of Monsterus in early November when the Monsterus rhythm section (The Bat Pack) dropped in on the 24/7 party in Las Vegas! Ron flew in a day early to check out Hoover Dam which he says was “off-the-hook!” The next day Don arrived and checked into the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino which would become home base for the duo while in the neon city. “One of our favorite sites was the fountains of Bellagio” Ron says, “These fountains should be added to the ‘Wonders of the World’ list...truly spectacular! The guys would also head over to check out the SEMA Automotive Tradeshow as guests of their friends at Dayton Wire Wheel. While at the show they ran into legendary custom car designer, George Barris...who Ron and his wife had met 2 years earlier while guests at his custom shop in North Hollywood. Ron then hooked up with friends Lonnie Lopez and Elliot Gilbert who along with Lonnie’s brother Al were not only the founders of Lowrider Magazine but are also the pioneers for the new premier lowriding publication, Blvd. Later, Ron connected with world famous DJ, Funkmaster Flex, who Ron joined up later that evening with at his Team Baurtwell private party at Club RA high atop the Luxor Pyramid...Wild TIme!
